A New Branding Project: Olive Branch

After a long year, we are proud that our new baby is finally born and growing well! Thanks to the team Darshan Sanghrajka ( Brands & Campaign Director ), Michael Murdoch( Creative Director ), Simon Brown (Web Developer ) and Pen Nee Chok ( Designer/Illustrator ). Most importantly of course a big thank you to our great client for giving us this opportunity.

We came out with a different approach for this brand, fully graphic illustrated. The logo’s most recognisable element is the olive fruit, the bold and clean logomark brings out the fruitful image of the brand. We tried our best to bring in as much fun as we can onto the packaging. Check out the unusual illustrated back label. We hope you like it?

Keep a watch, they might be at your local shops soon! For now, check out the website for latest tasting events and definitely get yourself a bottle! I literally gulp down the whole bottle because it is that delicious! Try it if you don’t believe me.

If you have a really good product and would like to let everyone know about it, don’t wait any longer, drop by for a chat.  Call Darshan on +44 (0) 7738 004 820 for more information.

We like to help out local communities with our talents and this time Pen Nee Chok added some of her illustration sparkle to these posters and flyers.  Check out those ray guns, jazz musicians and bouncy castle!  Well done Pen Nee!

Secret Wars (by Adam Walden)

There’s nothing like watching people do something you love at a top level. We’ve all seen live music, theatre and sport… but illustration?

Promoted by word of mouth and held in anonymous underground venues in cities across the world, Secret Wars is an organization running competitive live illustration battles. With heats across the globe culminating in continental finals the events attract hundreds of competitors and spectators alike for events that combine live illustration with urban music and a party atmosphere.

The competition rules are simple:

  • 90 minutes on the clock
  • Black paint on white walls
  • No sketches/No pencils
  • Invisible line down the middle with an artist each side
  • Judged by  guest 2 judges on a 3 point system, and also on crowd volume (using a decibel reader)

Terry Guy (Founder) speaking on Secret Wars:

“‘Live art’ or ‘performance art’ is where an artist creates a piece of art in front of audience. This experience gives the viewers some insight into the mind of an artist at work, which is very exciting and thought provoking.”

It’s inspiring to see so many talented artists and art appreciators coming together in what is a celebration of not only quality artwork and talented artistry but also a celebration of urban culture.
