A New Branding Project: Olive Branch
After a long year, we are proud that our new baby is finally born and growing well! Thanks to the team Darshan Sanghrajka ( Brands & Campaign Director ), Michael Murdoch( Creative Director ), Simon Brown (Web Developer ) and Pen Nee Chok ( Designer/Illustrator ). Most importantly of course a big thank you to our great client for giving us this opportunity.
We came out with a different approach for this brand, fully graphic illustrated. The logo’s most recognisable element is the olive fruit, the bold and clean logomark brings out the fruitful image of the brand. We tried our best to bring in as much fun as we can onto the packaging. Check out the unusual illustrated back label. We hope you like it?

MADE WITH JOY - the brand, the ethos and the first product - tasty new Lassi drinks
Brief: Design and launch a brand and a beverage in the UK but at the same time create a brand, which is not just about drinks.
Team:
Brand Design - Michael Murdoch (Creative Director), Elsie Wong / Brand Strategy & Campaign - Darshan Sanghrajka / Web - Alex Thomas
It’s live! Over the year, we’ve had so much fun working on this branding and design project…From naming, to branding, to packaging and to the website itself, we have helped create the full brand. Of course it’s always brilliant working with such an ace client - thanks team Made With Joy!
Taking inspiration from ethnic and Asian styles we have developed a brand which should appeal to yummy mummies as well as children. Of course anyone can buy and enjoy the drink too!
The bright colours hint at the intensity of colour found in Indian saris and a foil label on the labels hint at the jewellery and bangles, so loved in India. Look closely and you’ll notice a few hidden gems in the new identity too.
Take a look at the website now and look carefully for the hidden links to interest pages. Most importantly taste the drink.
Visit Made With Joy now and tell us what you think :-)
If you love what you see, we’d love to hear from you, if you’d like us to work with your brand - drop us an email at cuppatea@thehouselondon.com and we’ll boil the kettle and keep the biscuits ready!
ps…in the next phase of the project, we’ll be working with the client to market and promote the tasty Lassi drinks. Keep an eye out for some happy surprises…
Awards have been won!
Whilst working in Hong Kong under the direction of Laurence Lloyd of Lloyd Northover a few years ago I worked on a project to rebrand a central Hong Kong office space. A complete refurb came with a new name, brand, publicity and website for this luxurious renovated building in Cental, Hong Kong.
Nexxus (meaning core or central) lead the design and brand direction. An exxtra “x” was used to emphasise the name and make it more memorable. From copywriting, identity design, print literature, signage, interior design and web design, I had a close hand on all parts of the project. It was my baby while I was out in the far east and I’m very pleased to announce the hard work paid off and we have won an award (hopefully the first of many!).
Special thanks goes to Laurence Lloyd for allowing me to work on this project and learn so much under his direction. He definitely taught me a lot about how to run a successful design and branding consultancy.
Hope you like it?
