10 Food And Beverages Websites that I find interesting…by Pen Nee Chok (Designer)

Food Websites

Website: https://www.deliverance.co.uk

Really like how Deliverance’s website uses red to catch attention of visitors. It is definitely modern, young and trendy for a food website. However, I think the navigation has too much red on it, making it really pack and uncomfortable if we had to looked at it too long.

Website: http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/

The sketch style trhoughout the website helps highlight the organic nature of the product. The site is clean and modern but slightly casual. However, I think it should have coloured boxes for the contents to make it more balance, it looks abit too clean now.

Website: http://www.dorsetcereals.co.uk/

The wooden texture background and emboss logo brings out the natural healthy feel for the website. Everything is in order, and complete. I really like the torn paper effect they use on the navigation and for the subtitiles. They also brought in the chalk typeface at some parts that really suites the whole image of the website.

Website: http://www.eat.co.uk/

Well, Eat’s branding is good, bold and strong. However, one thing I am concern about on their website would be the navigation bar. It looks like it blends in too much looking more like a copy/title for the image on the right rather than a menu. It looks clean, but it does needs something to differentiate the buttons with other objects.

Website: http://www.delisante.com/

This is the first time I came across a logo which appear on an unusual place. Their placing of the logo looks right and balance. I like how everything is all locked up into boxes in columns, very neat and easy for the eyes. Really like the rugged cloth background, looks organic, suites the whole deli thing.

Beverages

Website: http://www.isklar.no/#/home

Isklar’s website is very soothing because of their background. The image make the whole website looks elegant and pure. It is very unusual on how they place the navigation bar at the bottom.

Website: http://www.costa.co.uk/

Although starbucks might be a more popular drink, but costa’s website definitely is a better one for me. I really like the dark red background compare to startbuck’s white background which has a lot of white space that doesn’t look welcoming. Costa’s website looks more homely, everything is in order, safe. However, I think if there is an  image slider, it would make it more attractive.  A human face smiling in the centre also helps welcome the viewer.

Website: http://shop.clipper-teas.com/

Although clipper’s packaging is really nice, but bringing the colour to the website makes it abit dull. I really don’t like the green with black that is used here, doesn’t look fresh and everything is packed together. I think maybe a big image slider would make everything looks nicer. The black border on images is not necessary as well, makes it looks old school.

Website: http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/

I really like the wobbly navigators, makes it friendly and fun. The colours used is bright and fun, suites the whole image of innocent. However I think a bright coloured box would be nicer than a grey box on the right.

Website: http://www.shopsanctuaryt.com/

Really like how sanctuaryt’s website which is really clean and elegant. The way they place everything is very neat. Love the navigator buttons, looks like a tea sachet. However, i think the logo blends in too much, it’s a little too small and it’s hard to spot on the top left hand corner.
